The young man seen here has been praticing and having success at levitating this ball. Here are some instances of super, human abilties I found in the book, Autobiography of a Yogi. That being the story of Paramhansa Yogananda who brought Yoga to the west early in the 20th century.
Many of the "yogic powers" you will read about below, and more, can be studied more specifically and in detail by using this link. The Nine Great Siddhis I have listed the pages of this paperback book on which you can find these
stories. Pg. 333
Shankari Mai Jiew
a yogini or woman yogi was a daughter of one of Trailanga's deciples who received the Swami's teachings as a young child was able to hold off the aging process such that she at the age of 112 (born in 1826) still had
her black hair, sparkling teeth, and amazing energy.Pg. 60 The Tiger Swami (Sohong) * fought wild tigers with his bare hands and will. When was he doing this. It ws after the development of guns and bullets. It was also
during the time of the Prince of Cooch Behar a province in India. "A number of men have physical power such as mine, but still lack in cool confidence. Those who are
bodily but not mentally stalwart may find themselves fainting at the mere sight of a wild beast bounding freely in the jungle. The tiger in its natural ferocity and habitat is vastly differfent from the opium-fed circus animal!
Many a man with herculean strength has nonetheless been terrorized into abject helplessness before the onslaught of a royal Bengal. Thus the tiger has converted the
man, in his own mind, to a state as fearful as the pussycats. It is possible for a man, owning a fairly strong body and an immensely strong determination, to turn the tables
on the tiger, and force it to a conviction of pussycat defenselessness. How often I have done just that!" Mind is the wielder of muscles. ["I mustered all my will force, bellowed fiercely,
and landed a final concussive blow. The tiger collapsed and lay quietly"] The force of a hammer blow depends on the energy applied; the power exprewsed by a man's
bodily instrument depends on his agressive will and courage. The body is literally manufactured and sustained by mind. Through pressure of instincts from past lives, strengths or weaknesses
percolate gradually into human consciousness. They express as habits, which inturn manicifest as a desirable or an undesirable body, outward
frailty has a mental origin; in a vicious circle, the habit-bound body thwarts the mind. If the master allows himself to be commanded by the servant, the latter becomes
autocratic; the mind is similarly enslaved by submitting to bodily dictation." The swami goes on to say that early in his life his ambition was to fight tigers. his
will was mighty, but his body was feeble. "It was by indomitable persistency in thoughts of health and strength that I overcame my handicap. I have every reason to
extoll the compelling mental vigor which I found to be the real subduer of the royal Bengals. It was after his fight with the tiger Raja Begum that the Tiger Swami had a
spiritual change of heart in which he closed the door on his worldly ambitions. From this time on he took on the spiritual path under the tutelage of his guru.
* A note from Joe: The Tiger Swami is associated incarnationally with the only other
man to of done such a thing with the biggest cats. The biblical Gilgamesh was part human and part Annunaki. He was much larger than normal humans and thus because
of this size, skill and will, he had been able to fight and win over lions. Sohong had the experience from his former incarnation as Gilgamesh as preparation for his battles with the Tigers. Pg. 371 The guru Lahiri Mahasaya
exhibited the superhuman features of breathlessness, sleeplessness, cessation of pulse and heartbeat.
This man as well as other yogi's are able also to raise the dead.
Down the centuries thousands of saints have delighted in remaining near the Ganges; they have left along its banks an aura of blessing.
An Extraordinary, perhaps unique, feature of the Ganges River is
its polluted waters. Millions of Hindus use its waters use its waters for bathing and drinking each year without harm. This fact is baffling to modern scientists such as Dr John Howard Northrop, co-winner of the Nobel Prize
for chemistry in 1946 who said "We know that the Ganges is highly contaminated. Yet Indians drink out of it, swim in it, and are apparently not affected." Remember: "God plants his saints sometimes in unexpected
soil, lest we think we may reduce Him to a rule!" Bhaduri MahasayaPg. 329 Trailanga Swami was a big man. He weighed 300 lbs. and had a huge barrel sized stomach. He was reputed to be over three hundred years old. He ate very
seldom and kept a habitual silence. He is considered one of the siddhas (perfected beings) in India. From page 330 - On many occasions the swami was seen to drink, with no ill
effect, the most deadly poisons. Thousands of people, including a few who are still living, have seen Trailanga floating on the Ganges. For days together he would sit on
top of the water or remain hidden in it for very long periods of time under the waves. By these feats Trailanga sought to teach men that human life need not depend on
oxygen or on certain conditions and precautions. Whether the great master was above water or under it, he proved that
he lived by divine consciousness: Death could not touch him.
Great saints who have awakened from the cosmic mayic dream and have realized this world as an idea in the Divine Mind, Can do as they wish with the body, knowing
it to be only a manipulatable form of condensed or frozen energy. Though physical scientists now understand that matter is nothing but congealed energy, illumined
masters have passed victoriously from theory to practice in the field of matter control. Paraphrased and added to slightly by Joe from paragraphs on pg.s 330 & 331
The Swami went about in the nude. Some people harassed the police into doing something about this. They took him to jail and put him in a cell. Soon he was seen on
the rooftop of the prison walking about. Upon examination his cell door was still securely locked and there was no clue as to how he'd escaped. The officers took him
in again and this time placed a guard outside his cell. Again, with the cell locked and a guard still outside the mans cell, Trailanga had once again escaped and was seen
walking nonchalantly along the roof. After that the police got that they could not restrain his spirit or his body and they had to let him go. From pg. 331
Trailanga ate only occasionally. After weeks without food, he would break his fast with potfuls of clabbered milk offered to him by devotees. A skeptic once determined to
expose Trailanga as a charlatan. A large bucket of calcium-lime mixture, used in whitewashing walls, was placed before the swami.
"Master," the materialist said, in mock reverence, "I have brought you some clabbered milk. Please drink it,'
Trailanga unhesitatingly drank, to the last drop, the quarts of burning lime. In a few minutes the evildoer fell to the ground in agony. "Help Swami, help!"
The great yogi broke his havitual silence. "Scoffer," he said, "you did not realize when you offered me poison that my life is one with your own. Except for my knowledge that God is
present in my stomach, as in every atom of creation, the lime would have killed me. Now that you know the divine meaning of boomerang, never again play tricks on anyone." The sinner, healed by Trailanga's words, slunk feebly away.
From pg 332 The reversal of pain was not a result of the master's will but of the operation of the law of justice… ...the functioning of the divine law is instantaneous for men of
God-realization like Trailanga; They have banished forever all thwarting crosscurrents of ego. Pg. 418

of Konnersreuth Bavaria. From 1923 to at least 1935 has abstained completely from food and drink, except for the daily swallowing of one small consecrated wafer of flour. Yogananda said: "Don't you eat anything? "No, except a host
(Eucharistic flour-wafer) at six o'clock each morning." "How large is the host?" "It is paper thin, the size of a small coin. I take it for sacramental reasons;
if it is unconsecrated, I am unable to swallow it." "Certainly you could not have lived on that, for twelve whole years?" "I live by God's light" "I see that you realize that
energy flows to your body from the ether sun and air." "I am so happy to know you understand how I live."
"One of the reasons I am here on earth today is to prove that man can live by God's invisible light and not by food only."
A story of, among other things,
dematerialization and rematerialization of the huuman form
from Kashi Moni to Paramhansa Yogananda. She was married to his guru's guru, Lahiri Mahasaya. This is from pg. 325 I began to feel forlorn and neglected. One morning Lahiri Mahasaya entered this
little room to fetch an article; I quickly followed him. Overcome by delusion, I addressed him scathingly. "'You spend all your time with the disciples. What about your responsibilities for
your wife and children? I regret that you do not interest yourself in providing more money for the family.' "The master glanced at me for a moment, then lo! He was gone. Awed and
frightened, I heard a voice resounding from every part of the room; "'It is all nothing, don't you see? How could a nothing like me produce riches for you?'
"'Guruji, ' I cried, 'I implore pardon a million times! My sinful eyes can see you no more; please appear in your sacred form.'
"'I am here.' This reply came from above me. I looked up and saw the master materialize in the air, his head touching the ceiling. His eyes were like blinding flames.
Beside myself with fear, I lay sobbing at this feet after he had quietly descended to the floor Part of the story of a meeting of great minds and the flights taken by them. Pgs. 351, 2 & 3 Babaji has a sister named Mataji. This story was shared by Ram Gopal (the sleepless saint) with Yogananda: Mataji said
"I have asked Babaji and Lahiri Mahasaya to come to my cave tonight to discuss a matter of great importance.' "A nebulous light was rapidly floating over the Ganges; the strange
luminescence was reflected in the opaque waters. It approached nearer and nearer until, with a blinding flash, it appeared by the side of Mataji and condensed itself instantly into the human form of Lahiri Mahasaya."
Before I had recovered from my bewilderment, I was further wonder-struck to behold a circling mass of mystical light traveling in the sky.
Descending swiftly, the flaming whirlpool neared our group and materialized itself into the body of a beautiful youth. I understood at once that he was Babaji.
…."As the sweet melody of Babaji's voice faded away, his form and that of Lahiri Mahasaya slowly levitated and moved backward over the Ganges. An aureole of dazzling light surrounded their bodies as they vanished into the night sky.
All this worldly wisdom was once the amiable heresy of some wise man. - Henry David Thoreau
And now, here are some "super" human feats I found in other sources Magical Running Tibetans speak of the power of fast-walking known as lung-gom. An eye-witness account was
provided by Alexandra David-Neel, an early 20th-century explorer, journalist, and Buddhist. While in northern Tibet, she saw a man approaching with an 'unusual gait' and 'extraordinary swiftness'.
"I could clearly see his perfectly calm impassive face and wide-open eyes with their gaze fixed on some invisible far-distant object situated somewhere high up in space. The man did not run. He
seemed to lift himself from the ground, proceeding by leaps. It looked as if he had been endowed with the elasticity of a ball and rebounded each time his feet touched the ground. His steps had the regularity of a pendulum."Native American Indians apparently knew of a similar method of magical running. In the 1920s anthropologist Carobeth Laird reported on one of the last men to travel 'the old way': the tracks left
by his feet were very faint and far apart, as if his feet had barely touched the ground.
For many years the famous series of books relating to "Don Juan" by Carlos Castenada were what I studied and practiced. These types of "magical running"
written about above are very reminescent of the types of things Don Juan and his people were capable of. I will have to create some time to locate such superhuman
feats they performed. People have been known to argue over whether or not these books portrayed real events and people or not. Make up your own mind. Contemplate,
meditate upon it and listen to your own intuitive self as you read the material.
Fire Powers
Max Freedom Long gives a detailed account of how his mentor, Dr. W.T.Brigham of the British Museum, was taken onto fresh boiling lava near a volcano on Kona island by three Kahunas (Hawaiian shamen) for a native firewalk. They instructed him to
take his boots off as they would not be covered by the Kahuna protection, but he refused. As he watched one of the three walk calmly onto the lavea flow, the other
two suddenly pushed him and finding himself on the hot lava, he had no choice but to keep on running to the other side. In the course of the 150-foot dash, his boots and
socks were burned off. The Three kahunas, still strolling barefoot on the lava, burst into laughter as they pointed out the trail of bits of burning leather. J.C. Pearce, the author of
The Crack in the Cosmic Egg suggests that the firewalk is a classic illustration of the creation of a new reality in which fire does not burn the individual. These days, firewalking is used in the West in both leadership trainings as well as for personal growth. The New York Herald on Sept. 7th 1871 ran a story on Nathan Coker, a blacksmith and evidently
fire-handler of Easton, Maryland. Many prominent local officials wanted
to test Coker's claimed powers. They heated a shovel to a white glow and invited Nathan to step upon it. Coker "pulled off his boots and placed the soles of his feet
upon the hot shovel and kept it there until the shovel became black". Coker also swilled molten leadshot around in this mouth until it solidified, held glowing coals in
this hands; and took a red-hot iron out of the fire with just his bare hands. He told them: "It don't burn! Since I was a little boy, I've never been afraid to handle fire."
He may not qualify as being a "human flame" but what he had does qualify in my
book as a power though I don't this is something he had "conscious control of" as he said that he has never been afraid of it (fire). So this is a person who has never had
the belief that fire is harmful or destructive relative atleast to him. He is claiming a whole other reality for himself than what we commonly do.
What might any of us of accomplished in life had we but not been given such limiting beliefs as we have grown up with? People like him serve to break the current
paradigms static nature as to whats possible. How many of us will ignore the flow of the status quo and adventure out upon these unfamiliar, sometimes scary seas? Will
you be one who sees and then grabs hold of these visions of human possibility? My psychic (more than I) mate Neida says that "people tried all throughout his life
(ever since they discovered his fearlessness relative to fire) to show and convince him of the dangers they perceived relative to fire. They tried to put their beliefs and fears
upon him but his "knowing" of the true reality was unshakable." I imagine that people were the same way with the Christ. Max Freedom Long was so astonished by the fiery conjurings of a magician that he obtained a private performance and brought
along with him a dentist to examine the man's mouth, for as part of his fire-handling repertoire, the magician would apply the hottest flame of a welding torch over the inside of his mouth, keeping his jaw wide open to allow close inspection. He also
heated an iron bar to red hot and, gripping the glowing part with his hands and teeth, bent the bar up and down.
According to current understanding (if you want to call it that, in error) this guy should not be able to do this and be unharmed. Now, we can (because of our beliefs)
deny these kinds of realities that show up right in front of our face or we can open up to possibility. The possibility that we don't know it all. That we are capable, of more
than we know. I remember a line in the bible where Christ says something to the effect that "What I can do, you can do, and more". Might these kinds of things be what he was referring to?
What organizations have an investment in having us not realize our true capabilities such as Christ expounded? Who is going to lose money and seeming control if you
and I begin to accept our true divinity? If your relations don't support your liberation, then it is time to start some new ones that do.
According to Mr. Long's exotic magician he, though of white parentage was brought up in India and was adopted by local fire-walkers who taught him from an
early age. He was taught to meditate upon the flame of a lit lamp and to "sense the God behind the flame" and thus enjoy its protection. While a hindu invokes Agni, the
and the Kahuna calls on Pele for protection from the fire, others do it without any favors asked of any god. This should point out that
the key here is actually the state of mind of the one performing the feat. The belief in a higher power within us.Fire-Handler -
On October 8th of 1672 John Evelyn who had a scholarly interest in the curious, had been invited to dine with Lady Sunderland, who afterwards sent for the entertainer Richardson who was well known throughout Europe. According to
Evelyn, Richardson "devoured brimstone on glowing coals before us, chewing and swallowing them, he melted a beerglass and ate it up; then taking a live coal on his
tongue, he put upon it a raw oyster, the coal was blown on with bellows till it flamed and sparkled in this mouth, and so remained until the oyster gaped and was quite
boiled; then he melted pitch, wax and sulphur, which he drank down as it flamed; I saw it flaming in his mouth a good while; he also took up a thick piece of iron, such
as laundresses use in their smoothing boxes, when it was fiery hot, he held it between his teeth and then in his hand..." It is not
the so-called laws of physics that dictate what we can do, it is the state of ones consciousness (which has to do with 'Being') that determines what reality we,
and even others to some extent, experience. All of these stupendous feats on this page serve as proof that we don't (in general) know the real laws of the universe and All
That Is for truly, we are more than we know and the consciousness of human beings still holds great mysteries.

SAR, an employee of 'General Motors', has the ability to feel water. He first showed his ability in public in 1951, when a huge GM plant was being built near
Port-Elisabeth. A considerable amount of water was required to set the plant going, but the problem was that it was semi-arid zone. The leadership of the company decided to drill a borehole. The required measurements were carried
out, the place decided and the equipment was set. At this moment Becker warned the head of the complex supply department that the drillers wouldn't find water there, maybe a bit of salted water at the depth of 45 meters.
However, the borehole was drilled, and it appeared that Becker's words were true. The head of the department found him and asked to find good water. Usually dowsers use a willow twig, but Becker did it without one. He crossed his
arms over his chest tight and started walking to and fro. In a half hour he stopped and asked someone to mark the place. People saw that Becker was shuddering and chattering. He remarks: 'There is a lot of good water, that's
exactly what we need'. Once the first locations been set he started wandering around again until he started shuddering again. The second point was in 500 meters from the first one and it was also marked.
The leadership of 'Generals Motors', believing it to be charlatanry, told Becker to repeat it, but with eyes closed, and he ended up pointing to the same
places again. After that the money for drilling was given. And there appeared so much water in one borehole, that drilling the second one wasn't needed.
As for the Becker, it wasn't the first time he'd used his abilities. He was born in the dryer lands 40 km from Port-Elisabeth. Farmers, who lived there
had no choice: either find the water, or to go broke. Becker's grandfather was a master at finding water. It was he who taught his grandson to cross his arms tight on the chest and go to and fro, until the shudder appeared.
Becker says 'I can tell salt water from sweet water'. He holds a silver coin in one hand and a copper coin in the other. If the water is sweet the hand with a
silver coin is vibrating, if the water is salty, the hand with the copper coin vibrates. 'I don't know why it happens, if I stand above an underground spring,
I shudder, but if I open my arms, the vibration stops gradually. If I stand above an underground stream the vibration also stops, if against it - the shudder
appears. I think the level of vibration depends on the power of the stream.'
This true tale tells us that we are much our bodies and we ourselves overall are much more sensitive that we give ourselves credit for. Finding water can be a
matter of physical life or death. While dowsing itself is fairly well known and is widely used in certain circles it needs to taught to most all of us from a young
age. In general we really are not all that close to making full use of our psychic abilities. Lastly this story also proves that we don't need even such tools and
devices as the diving rod. Our consciousness is the tool we can't do without. The Real Submariner - I think it is fair to say that besides flight, humanity has also long dreamt of
conquering the sea depths. A group of journalists in recent times have witnessed a fantastic dive, one accomplished without the use of any devices or technical tricks. Philippine fisherman L. Pakino from the island of Lucson
rubbed himself with oil to protect himself from cold at depth (about 60 meters), took a heavy load into his hands and jumped from the boat into the sea. One minute passed, two
minutes passed: in ten minutes representatives of the local press started to worry. But the fisherman's friends said that everything was alright. If Pakino doesn't come up, then he just isn't ready to come
up yet. After almost an hour Pakino appeared at last on the surface. Sensational reports about the man-amphibian from the island of Lucson appeared in the mass
media, all over the world. Some of the members of the American Divers' Association read about it and did not believe it. 'It's impossible to spend almost an hour without breathing! They sent a letter off to
the Philippines and received back an invitation to come and find out about it themselves. The Americans came fully armed with aqualungs, and video cameras for underwater shooting. This time
Pakino even broke his record - he spent an hour and five minutes under water. During this event the association's representatives had the video camera running the whole time.
So what does this mean that Pakino can do this? Probably Pakino used the methods of Indian yogis*, who demonstrated their abilities to do without food, water and air during a considerable
period of time. Pakino, while under water went about moving around, absorbing evidently both energy and oxygen. There has been no word from doctors or specialists relative to just how this man is able
to be also, an amphibian. Physically they say, he is just like everybody else. Norwegian professor P. Sholander may have a clue as to how Pakino does this. Sholander has
studied sperm whales and how they are able to dive so deep, up to one thousand meters. He says that the whales muscles work at the expense of the energy released in the process of glucose
transformation into lactic acid, in the process of anaerobe reaction (without oxygen participation)'. Sholander, in studying the blood content of Australian pearl fishermen, discovered that to some
extent, man possess the same anaerobe mechanism as the sperm whale. In the cells of professional divers who spend considerable time under water, the increased concentration of lactic acid has been registered. This means that
under certain conditions the human organism is able to turn to anoxic energy to supplement the body tissues. Sholander says that it is his opinion that if we learn to use
this ability, we'll be able to spend as much time underwater as whales. * See the story of Trailanga the Indian swami who could levitate himself up and over the water only to let himself down into and under it for hours at a time. Teleportation An extraordinary instance of teleportation took place in London on June 3rd, 1871. A Mrs. Samuel Guppy, a famous medium of the day, [with whom Dr. Alfred Russell Wallace who was the
co-discoverer with Darwin of the principle of natural selection, had sittings for years] had a rather famous falling out (forgive the coming pun). From her home in Highbury, by some invisible power,
she was whisked away to the house of Charles Williams, another medium and friend of hers at 61, Lamb's Conduit Street, a distance of over three miles.
She dropped down like a log on the top of a table around which, 10 people were closely packed and sitting in a séance. They had been having an amiable chat with "Katie King", the famous spirit
guide with whom Sir William Crookes was to have been photographed arm-in-arm. Someone asked "Katie King" to bring something. Another sitter jokingly observed: "I wish you would bring Mrs.
Guppy." A third sitter protested: "Good gracious, I hope not. She is one of the biggest women in
London!". "Katie King's'' voice cried aloud in the dark: "I will, I will, I will." Three minutes had hardly passed when someone cried out: "Good God, there is something on my head." There was a heavy
thud. One or two screams. A match was struck. There was Mrs. Guppy on the table. She was perfectly motionless, in a state of trance. She was arrayed in a loose dressing-gown, in a more or less
delicate condition, with bedroom slippers on her feet. One arm was rigidly held over her eyes, the other hung by her side, holding a pen wet with ink.
Great fears were entertained for her health. But she recovered consciousness, shook off the effect of the shock and joined the sitting. From the ceiling her boots, hat and clothes dropped down piece by
piece, also a lot of flowers. The flowers were her own psychic contribution. She could produce heaps of flowers out of the void - even full-sized sunflowers with fresh earth clotted around the roots. Don Juan in the Carlos Castenada books would say that she knew the "intent" of flowers.
Inquiries at Mrs. Guppy's home revealed that at the time of her transportation she was writing in her room. Her companion was sitting near the fire, making up accounts. Suddenly, looking up, she
found that Mrs. Guppy had disappeared. She fancied seeing a slight haze near the ceiling. That was all. The case was the occasion of much talk in the London press. But nothing was brought forward to
shake or disprove the written testimony of ten witnesses, most of them well-known people with a reputation and social standing.
Mrs. Guppy had a solid connection with her friend and medium Charles as well as the spirit Katie King. Because of her connection with these two, when Katie King came into her consciousness and
said in effect: Hello dear, your coming with me, Mrs. Guppy did not have to stop to think about it, she just went with her, remembering to bring clothes a few moments later. Katie King was able to teleport
her over to Charles's séance, with her willingness of course. Ok, so this wasn't a current human performing this feat but it still says that it can be done and as you can read from the stories of yogi's above humans can do this.
Human Radiance Human Light Bulbs
- St. francis of Paola (d. 1507) is one of many saints whose bodily radiance has been well-documented. He is also credited with possessing the power of fire-immunity. X-Ray Vision
Kuda Bux, an Indian mystic promoted himself as "The Man With X-Ray Eyes." Financially he was self-sufficient. He went around paying for ads in local newspapers to announce his free
public demonstrations of X-ray vision. These demonstrations would be performed at lecture halls which he also rented himself. He did not sell things to those in attendance, nor did he make
any big fuss over what he was doing. This was not a money making venture of any kind for him. He sought no profit. His sole motivation was to reach out to the common man in the street and demonstrate this message "
that people have a far greater potential and range of faculties than they realize" Many audience members asked him over the years
"How can you see?" Kuda Bux would explain to them "I can due to the power of my concentration. I bring my attention to
a finer level of my vision. It's my power of concentration." Kuda Bux paused briefly and then stated, "My back was broken in three places. Doctors said that I would never walk again. With my
concentration I was able to heal myself. I have no problem walking now," he asserted. "Can this work for blind people?" someone asked.
Kuda Bux replied, "I had once stated that this could help blind people. But, I am correcting my statement. This is not a solution for blind people." This is because blind people have purposes for
being blind. It is something 'chosen' at a deeper than conscious level. "Can anyone learn to do this?" others asked?
"Yes, you can develop your power of concentration by gazing at the gap between a flame and the candle. Do this just a few seconds at first," he explained. "After some time you will be able to do this
for much longer. It will take about twenty years of daily practice to get results." Because of the unique position we are in at this time on Earth, with the quickening of consciousness coming more and
more to the fore it is not going to take us that much time to make that much progress. Take heart, you will develop in time to make the differences you need to. During the 1930's and 40's
Kuda Bux gave stage performances all over the world claiming his eyeless sight was due to his skill in yoga after decades of intense practice. In 1934 he obliged
a team of experts and scientists by permitting them to seal his eyes shut with dough, tinfoil, gauze and layers of woolen bandages.
He astounded them by being able to read from books placed in front of him. In 1935, in front of an audience of scientists from the University of London Council for Psychical Research
and some news reporters, Kuda Bux demonstrated fire-walking, another of his exceptional abilities. He walked across a twelve foot pit of burning coals unscathed. Bux's feet were checked
before and after the firewalking to verify that no protective chemicals were used. It was a windy day and the surface temperature of the fire was measured at 806 degrees Fahrenheit. The body of the fire was measured at
2,552 degrees Fahrenheit which is hot enough to melt steel. After Kuda Bux's firewalking through the coals, a cameraman who had fumbled in taking photographs, asked for a retake. Kuda Bux obliged by repeating the firewalk.
In 1937, he amazed onlookers in Liverpool by walking the entire length of a narrow ledge of a roof 200 feet above the ground while blindfolded as before. In 1938
, in Montreal, Canada scientists also conducted experiments on Bux's claim to X Ray vision and confirmed his ability to see while blindfolded. In 1945
, Kuda Bux skillfully rode a bicycle through congested New York's Times Square while his eyes were taped shut. Kuda Bux even starred in his own CBS series as Kuda Bux, Hindu Mystic. During this time he gave demonstrations in
mind reading as well as eyeless vision. He also appeared on the Johnny Carson show, leaving his audience and Johnny flabbergasted with his demonstration.
Two books have been written about his extraordinary feats and, about the many experiments that were conducted on him by researchers.
Kuda Bux was born as Khudah Bukhsh in 1906 in Kashmir. He passed away February 5, 1981. He had a very pleasant Indian wife who traveled with him in support of his mission.
I have another somewhat similar story of a modern day female with X-Ray Eyes. Young Natasha Demkina from Russia is able to "see" into peoples bodies
and report on their health challenges. She as of this story's addition (March 08) is 20 yrs. young and still finding her way psychically. To read her fantastic story just click here. There is a fellow here in America who is a little older than Natasha but is further along in maturity and use of his powers.
He is known only as Adam. Not only
does he see into people's bodies but he heals them too and get this, he is doing it, "en-masse". Here is a link to his website where you can read all about him or possibly go to one of his events. www.dreamhealer.com
Electro-Magnetic Humans
An early scientifically investigated case was of the 14 yr. old teenager,
Angelique Cottin of La Perriere, france, whose strange condition began on January 15th 1846. This power lasted 10 weeks. Objects would retreat from her whenever she approached them. The slightest touch of her hand
or, even the dress she wore was enough to send heavy furniture spinning away or jumping up and down; and no one could hold an object she also was holding without it writhing from their grasp.
A study group was appointed by the Academy of Sciences, and a fomous physicist, Francois Arago, published a report in the journal des debats of February
1846. He noted that her power seemed to be like electro-magnetism, compasses would go wild in her proximity. The power was also stronger in the evenings and
seemed to emanate from her left side, partiularly her left wrist and elbow. She was so frightened by these occurances that she would often convulse while the phenomenon
was active. Her heartbeat woud raise to as much as 120 beats per minute.
Again take notice that she is at the age of puberty (varies with the individual) when hormones and other changes are so prevalent in the body. Another point to consider is
that her own emotional reactions, the fear and denial (rather than the embracing of) this power may well have played a part in the strength of of the phenomena. You
cannot control something you are busy attempting to push away or deny. Unelectrified humans have a neutral charge as regards to most things around them.
When we by whatever means become highly charged with the same charge as things about us there is attraction and they will stick to us. If we should become highly
oppositely charged from those things around us they will be repelled from us. Many times people are afraid due to religious influences. Many simpletons and
others with a vested interest in discrediting any common folk who show these kinds of indications would proclaim this girl as a witch, bedeviled, or posessed and want to "burn her!" In a religious state
you can't have people going around, in essence throwing doubts upon if not outright contradicting the dogma your teaching. You would lose your (seeming) power over the populace so, "Burn her!". "By their deeds
you may know their hearts and minds. Evil masquerading as pious religion.
In 1877 seventeen
-year-old Caroline Clare of London Ontario became ill. She dropped down to just 90 lbs in weight. With this illness she suffered dramatic fits, describing
faraway places she had never been to, accurately. She recovered eighteen months later but, now her life was made miserable in a different way. Strong electrical
dis-charges were now issueing from her. Objects in contact with her became magnetized. Cutlery would stick to her skin and had to be pulled off by another
person. She was investigated and a report filed by the Ontario Medical Association in the summer of 1879.
We can't tell from this little bit of information about just what these "fits" were but the faraway places she could accurately describe are signs of her psychic powers
coming to the fore. I don't know if the strong electrical discharges are a sign of a "power" on her part or a temporary out of balance or non-functioning something or other. In the 1890's another teenager,
this one by the name of Jennie Morgan of Sedalia, Missouri became some how highly charged. Sparks would fly from her to nearby objects, animals would avoid her, and those people forgetful enough to shake her hand or touch
her were often knocked unconscious. Highly charged and opposite of those things and people around her.
Frank McKinstry of Joplin, Missouri was the subject of a study in 1889. When he would feel "charged" he would have to keep moving to keep his feet from getting
stuck to the ground. If that happened he would have to ask others to help pick up his feet and thus release the magnetic charge. Louis Hamburger , a sixteen year old was studied by the Maryland college of
Pharmacy in 1890. He was a "human magnet"
and could make metal objects dangle form his skin. With just the tips of three fingers he could lift a five pound jar of iron-filings.
Likely the most famous case in the 1900's was that of Lulu Hurst who for three years (1883 to 1885) made a stage career for herself as "The Georgia Wonder" before quitting and marrying her manager.
For her, things started going awry just after her fourteenth birthday. China would smash in her presence, and at night there would be frightening heavy thumps and
knocking sounds in her bedroom. Soon they found out that if a question were spoken in the room they would be answered by one or two raps.
The day after the noises started, Lulu handed a relative a chair. As the chair twisted in Lulu's grasp four men tried to hold it, but the forces were too great, the
chair broke into pieces and they were flung violently backwards. While she ran from the house screaming after this event, within two weeks her parents had persuaded her to make a stage act out of her powers.
Her act consisted of variations on the theme of a little girl
thwarting several grown men. For instance, she would hold one end of a billiard cue while two men from the audience would struggle and fail to force the other end to the ground. She could
also lift three men sitting on each other's laps in the same chair by merely resting her open palms on its back. She would also lightly touch an empty chair while five men from the audience tried in vain to budge it from the spot.
Investigators were allowed to get as close as they wished. They consistently found no evidence of strain or trickery in the girl.
It almost seems like there are two stories here, one of a poltergeist and another of paranormal abilites. In this case however, there is just one, the latter. This young
woman is just 14 years young. This is a time when a girls body is usually going through puberty changes. Hormones and much more are at work. New connections
are being made and others let go. If you haven't already developed your innate psychic skills before. Puberty is THE time when these abilities tend to show up more than any other.
As your abilites start to come to the fore, depending upon your beliefs and of those around you AND whether or not you have someone available who has wisdom and
familiarity with blossoming psychic powers you may be able to gather them up and learn to make intelligent and practical use of them or you could flounder, and through
fear fight what is actually your birthright. That is just on the personal level with you. Publicly you may be feared, shunned or even persecuted depending upon the times and environment you placed yourself in.
Nothing happens by accident. Nothing happens to us. We have things happen, for various reasons. We and the Spirit always have purposes and perfections for why
anything happens. What we need to practice doing is looking to the larger picture of what is going on. Consider the growth and the myriad positive experiences this young
girl had for those three years. She was earning an income, she was becoming an entertainer and celebrity and met all kinds of people, that is an education in itself. And
because she allowed herself these things she met the fellow who would manage her act and later became her husband for life after stardom.
There were of course perfections for the manager who became the husband as well as for her family as she became well known celebrity wise. Lastly it was perfect
that her life went in the direction it did because it showed not just those show goers of her times but also us, so many years in the future, a bit more about what the possibility of humans really is
. It is nothing short or miraculous. The miraculous will one day be common, again. In your life as well an on any of these true tales, endeavor to 'feel' for the greater
picture and the perfections for everyone directly and indirectly involved. You will find it empowering.

Thought Form Projectionists (Psychokinesis (PK) - manifesting with the mind) Mind Over Matter Throughout the course of human history there is found the idea that events and objects may sometimes be as ephemeral as thoughts, while thoughts can occasionally
become concrete and objective realities. Today science (para-physics and sub-atomic
physics) has showed us that the transmutation of matter as well as the relativity of the so-called "laws" of space, time, matter and energy are are real and thus deserve recognition and acknowledgement.
In 1935 a woman by the name of Mrs. Getrude Smith of York, Pennsylvania, discovered she could mentally coax her hens to lay eggs bearing images. On April 4th
1940 she is quoted in the York Gazette and Daily that "I would stand near the hen yard and visualize sunflower petals along with my initials. In a few days sure enough
she got her sunflower egg. The picture was incised into the shell. She continued in her play and obtained more specifically patterned eggs. Upon opening one she found that the design on the inside was "raised".
A later edition of this same paper testified to the genuineness of the patterned eggs and referred to sworn depositions from witnesses. Gertrude at one point tried
visualizing an egg with a triangular cross-section to it. This equated to a step up in testing her mental powers of creation. Evidently she hadn' considereed the addage "Be
careful what you wish for" because when it came she found herself unable to deal with what it meant that she was able even to do even this!
Unable to accept herself being this powerful, she got fearful and stopped making use of it.
She stood down rather than rising to the occasion. Perfect perhaps for her but, too bad for us. If only she'd of had more or better support so that she saw the gift
beyond the simple use that she was making of it. This woman could have used a guide or someone with real wisdom to help her investigate her abilities and assuage her
eventual fearful mind. By-the-way, it was her mind, her intent that altered the eggs, the chickens weren't making the alterations and it did not happen due to some psychic bond between her and them.
Extaordinary Mental Powers
A mass hallucination or a masters mental powers of reality creation? From Andriuja Puharich's Beyond Telepathy
(1962) we find the story of two investigating psychologists who saw the full "Indian Rope Trick". In this form, typically a small boy goes up the rope, the magician follows with a knife, and both
seem to vanish at the top. Screams are heard, followed by a grisly rain of dismembered parts. The magician comes down with a bloody knife, places the fallen parts in a box an soon the boy emerges whole and smiling.
The psychologists saw the magician collect the parts of the boy in a basket, go back up the rope and return with the boy whole. When they developed their film, they saw to their
amazement the fakir and the boy simply standing impassively by the rope, which was all the time coiled on the floor. The entire sequence had been imagined and conducted in silence. Puharish concludes that "The hallucination
originated with the fakir...was telepathically inspired and extended to the several hundred people present". In 1934 the trick was performed twice in London, and on
the second occasion the organizers concealed cameras. When developed, the film revealed the rope being on the ground and the boy scuttling for the bushes. Those present were witnessing an
event that did not take place in normal reality. This story goes a long way in showing the true power of the mind, to create realities. Once you have made space for a possibility through forming a
supportive belief structure within yourself you can, through intent and will, generate with others, alternative realities that can co-exist with our present one. The power of Mind Projection, that is, producing experiences in anothers
mind so real that they don't realize that it is the other persons thought form, this takes a lot of energy to accomplish. This varies as to how many people are
to be affected. Is itr 2 or 200, big difference. A second point I will make here is that an individual with this kind of ability really has to have a high level of
personal integrity to carry such things off in his life for were he to use his powers against the conscious will of the people involved he would would have a
malevolent energy rather than a benevolent one. He could not make a living doing what he did if he did not have his integrity "in". He would be a tyrant somewhere for instance, out there abusing people. He'd be known and
feared rather than revered. This man, this fakir, sought an enlightened level of conscousness and spirituality. He found it with his love and devotion to the one universal energy that is, All That Is
A Dr. Phelps of Stratford Connecticut in 1850 had a 12 year old son, Harry who by the description Father Herbert Thurston gave in his 1953 book
Ghosts and Poltergeists was under constant attack. Stones would get pitched at him out of nowhere. A violent force would lift him off the ground to strike his head on the ceiling. Once he was even
thrown into a water-tank; and before the eyes of shocked visitiors he was caught up and suspended in the branches of a tree while his clothes were methodically torn to ribbons by something invisible. I will point out that again the kid is at the age of puberty when so much is going on in the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual lives of these young people. This young
man has the ability to unconsciously reproduce/manifest the ideas of another, into this physical reality. Try this: read the paragraph again but this time "feel" if you don't also (as Neida and I did) get that this young man was (or could) have been translating his
fathers ideas and feelings towards him into reality. It is not mentioned in the little bit of the story I have whether or not the father and son got along. Would you rather believe
in the pop culture portrayal of non-physical entities attacking the child? Does anyone else besides myself, see how Rod Serling of Twilight Zone fame
could have seen such true stories and come up with some of his own tales OR that due to his fascination with the bizarre, he could have brought such events into his
dreaming life and then at one level or anther made use of them? It is my experince that this is how spirit often works. Our mind has access to much more information than we commonly realize. Yesterdays MEDIUMSD.D. Home - The King of Mediums
Alexander II, the Czar of Russia according to a letter of Prince Emil Sayn Wittgenstein, his Imperial Majesty's late aide-de-camp, to Mrs. Hardinge Britten in 1876, the Emperor and most of his
household were completely converted to Spiritualism due to Home. "Since Mr. D. D. Home's first visit in - I think - 1861," he wrote, "His Majesty has never doubted the truth of spirit communion,
and the rich presents and special favors he has bestowed on Mr. Home is proof positive of the royal acceptance of his mediumship."
In France rumours were also rife that Louis Napoleon, as a result of D. D. Home's visits to the Tuilleries, became a believer in Spiritualism. The Duke de Morny told the Emperor that he felt duty
bound to contradict the rumour. To which the Emperor replied: "Quite right, but you may add when you speak on the subject again, that there is a difference between believing a thing and having proof of
it, and that I am certain of what I have seen." What the Emperor saw was probably the most amazing experience of his life. When he received Home for the first time his, and the Empress's unspoken thoughts were replied to by Home and the
Empress was touched by a materialized hand
in which, from a defect in one of the fingers, she recognized that of her late father. In the second séance the room was shaken, heavy tables were lifted
and seemingly glued down to the floor by an alteration of their weight. At the third séance a phantom hand appeared above the table, lifted a pencil and wrote the single word "Napoleon" in the autograph of Napoleon I.
There were other crowned heads who treated D. D. Home with favor: the King of Bavaria, the German Emperor, the Queen of Holland, and the King of Naples. Were they, with hundreds of other
famous people, suddenly attacked by a form of insanity which caused them to believe in things incredible, or did they witness genuine phenomena?
That a roomful of intelligent people who are quite sane in other respects should concur, even to the minutest particulars, in the details of the occurrences of which they were supposed to be the
witnesses, seemed to Sir William Crookes more incredible than the facts to which they attested. From personal observation he wrote that the phantom hand "is not always a mere form, but sometimes
appears perfectly life-like and graceful, the fingers move, the flesh apparently as human as that of any in the room. At the wrist, or arm, it becomes hazy and fades off into a luminous cloud." To the touch
the hand sometimes appears icy cold and dead, at other times warm and life-like. He has seen a luminous cloud hover over a heliotrope plant, break a sprig off and carry it to a lady, he has seen a
finger and thumb pick the petals from a flower in Home's button-hole and lay them in front of several persons sitting near him.
"Moreover, on one occasion," writes Crookes, "I have retained one of these hands in my own,
firmly resolved not to let it escape. There was no struggle or effort to get loose, but it gradually seemed to resolve itself into vapor and faded in that manner from my grasp."
Once a semi-transparent ghost, holding an accordion in his hand and playing continuously, came up to Mrs. Crookes."As the figure approached," she writes, "I felt an intense cold, and as it was giving me
the accordion I could not help screaming. The figure seemed to sink into the floor, leaving only the head and the shoulders visible, still playing the accordion, which was then about a foot off the floor."
A man who could not be kept down on earth! Crookes knew of at least a hundred instances of his rising from the ground. "On several occasions Home and the chair on which he was sitting at the table
rose off the ground. This was generally done very deliberately, and Home sometimes tucked up his feet on the seat of the chair and held up his hands in full view of all of us. On such an occasion
Crookes said "I have got down and seen and felt that all four legs were off the ground at the same time, Home's feet being on the chair." Less frequently the levitating power was extended to those
sitting next to him. Once Crookes wife was thus raised off the ground in her chair." There is almost no end to the miracles which D. D. Home produced for Crookes. Under the
strictest test conditions he saw: "a solid luminous body, the size and nearly the shape of a turkey's egg float noiselessly about the room, at one time higher than anyone present could reach on tiptoe,
and then gently descend to the floor. It was visible for more than ten minutes, and before it faded away it struck the table three times with a sound like that of a hard solid body. During this time the
medium was lying back, apparently insensible, in an easy chair. I have seen luminous points of light darting about and settling on the heads of different persons. I have had questions answered by the
flashing of a bright light a desired number of times in front of my face. I have had an alphabetic communication given me by luminous flashes occurring before me in the air, whilst my hand was moving about amongst them."
Lord Adare had seen the extended hand of Home become quite luminous. On another occasion his clothes commenced to shine. Once the top of his head glowed with light as if a halo surrounded it. On
Home's request he asked the starlike lights in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Ghost if that was the work of God. "I repeated the words very earnestly," he says, "the light shone out,
making three little flashes (indicating yes)
, each one about a foot higher above the floor than the preceding." Crookes constructed a wire cage which he connected into an electric circuit and placed under the table so that it just fitted.
An accordion which Home placed in the cage played by its own accord floating in the air.
Dr. Alfred Russel Wallace, the great naturalist, writes of the same experience in My Life: "I was invited to go under the table while an accordion was playing, held in Home's hand, holding
the instrument which moved up and down and played a tune without any visible cause. He then said: 'Now I will take away my hand,' which he did; but the instrument went on playing, and I saw a detached hand
holding it while Home's two hands were seen above the table by all present." The accordion not only played, but it played exquisite music. According to Robert Bell's
anonymous article, "Stranger than Fiction", in the Cornhill Magazine, August, 1860:"The air was wild and full of strange transitions, with a wail of the most pathetic sweetness running through it. The
execution was no less remarkable for its delicacy than its Powers. When the notes swelled in some of the bold passages, the sound rolled through the room with an astounding reverberation; then gently
subsiding, sank into a strain of divine tenderness." The experience was the same when Bell held the accordion in his own hand, with full light upon it; during the loud and vehement passages it became so
difficult to hold, in consequence of the extraordinary power with which it was played from below, that he was obliged to grasp the top with both hands."
On Easter evening, 1866, in S. C. Hall's, the well known art critic's home, to quote from a well-attested experience from Home's biography: "First we had simple, sweet, soft music for some
minutes; then it became intensely sad; then the tramp, tramp as of a body of men marching mingled with the music, and I exclaimed 'The March to Calvary'. Then three times the tap-tapping sound of a
hammer on a nail (like two metals meeting). A crash, and a burst of wailing which seemed to fill the room, followed; then there came a burst of glorious triumphal music, more grand than any of us had
ever listened to, and we exclaimed, 'The Resurrection'. It thrilled all our hearts." If for miracles all that is not sufficient, we may add that at the very least, 50 people have seen D. D. Home grow in stature a maximum of eleven inches.
Lord Lindsay observed "the top of the hipbone and the short ribs separate". Home looked as if he had been pulled up by the neck.
He also grew in breadth,
he could elongate his arms and legs or shorten them so that the limbs "felt shrunk and withered".
Physiologists will, of course, say that the thing is a total impossibility. But it is no less impossible for a human being to handle live coal with impunity or bury his face in a blazing coal fire. Yet Home
did it. Writes Lord Adare in Experiences in Spiritualism with D. D. Home: "Having apparently spoken to some spirit, he (Homes) went back to the fire, and with his hand
stirred the embers into a flame; then kneeling down he placed his face among the burning coals moving it about as though bathing it in water. Then, getting up, he held his finger for some time in the flame of the candle."
Crookes and Sir William Huggins, the astronomer and former president of the Royal Society, had seen Home
improvising a furnace in his hand by covering a piece of red hot coal, of the size of an
orange, with his left hand, and blowing on it until it was nearly white-hot, and "then drew my attention," continues Crookes, "to the ambent flame which was flickering over the coal and licking
round his fingers; he fell on his knees, looked up in a reverent manner, held up the coal in front, and said: 'Is not God good? Are not his laws wonderful?'" People who had faith could take the coal from Home without injury.
Mrs. S. C. Hall saw a burning coal placed on the head of her husband. Home drew up his white hair over the coal into a sort of pyramid, the coal still showing red beneath the hair.
No man was more sought after by the great ones of the day than D. D. Home. Alexander Dumas considered him a friend. Dumas was his marriage witness in St. Petersburg, the Czar's Chamberlain
being another. Thackeray considered Home a genuine mystery; Lord Bulwer-Lytton looked up to him as did Robert Chambers, the author and publisher. Others fascinated by Home were Dr. John
Ashburner, one of the Royal physicians, Dr. John Elliotson, F.R.S., Alfred Russel Wallace, and Prof. Augustus de Morgan, the famous mathematician.
Faraday refused investigation because Home was not inclined to acknowledge in advance "that the phenomena, however produced, were ridiculous and contemptible". Tyndall and Carpenter would not
condescend. Huxley, the great, was "not interested".
Home was not a professional medium. He was never "exposed". In fact he was never even specifically accused. For his sittings he accepted no payment. He lived
precariously on the hospitality of his friends. He made frequent visits to Italy. Rumour arose among the peasants that he was a necromancer
who administered the Sacrament of the Church to toads in order to raise the dead by spells and incantations. An attempt was even made on his life, and he was officially warned about his sinister
reputation. Nine years later he was expelled from Rome.
Homes was an extraordinary man to be sure. If he'd of lived in India he certainly would have been a fakir, swami or yogi however, the spirit needed someone with such talent in England and so, there he was.
He had many connections with spirits and these were very helpful to him. While Christian oriented, he was able to compartmentalize that from his psychic abilities. He had
to as they weren't really compatible. He didn't really understand the magnitude of his gifts though he did participate and play with them with his quick and imaginative mind.
He was also a man with doubts and so you can read where he questions whether or not the things he is doing is really of God/the Spirit. He did not realize his own divinity. He knew that God could
accomplish these things but wondered and worried over just why he was able. Were Mozart a psychic in another incarnation, this would be him.
Jesse Shepard - Medium for a World of Musicians Genius or medium? Could he be both? This is the compelling question that
Francis Grierson, the famous American writer presents us with. He was known as Jesse Shepard, the musical medium for almost forty years,
in the latter part of his life he chose to be a genius. He trimmed Jesse Francis Grierson Shepard
to his two middle names and lived down one of the strangest careers of the last century, when he became a master of literary art. Grierson's genius was revealed in his Modern Mysticism, The Celtic Temperament and
The Humour of the Underman but this was a small achievement when set next to his musical gifts. Had he been able to claim those as products of his own consciousness he
might have gone down in history as the greatest musician the world had ever known. Jesse Shepard, was a celebrated American medium for almost 40 years. He
gave sittings and led séances's. He was a clairvoyant, a prophet and he demonstrated psychometry, the sensing of the story of an object or of the people connected with it by simply holding it. Jesse was also able to both give
diagnosis of disease and heal people. He could also see mediumistic faculties in others. His psychic faculties first manifested in 1867. A turning-point in his life and career came in January, 1868.
September 3rd, 1894
Prince Adam Wisniewski's account in the Italian Vessillo Spiritista of one of Jesse's musical séances: "After having secured the
most complete obscurity," the Prince writes, "we placed ourselves in a circle around the medium, seated before the piano. Hardly were the first chords
struck when we saw lights appearing in every corner of the room. The great pianists and composers of all epochs arrived, some to perform, others to hear the music. The first piece played through Shepard was a Fantasia of Thalberg's
on the air from Semiramide. This is unpublished, as is all the music which is played by the spirits through Shepard. The second was a rhapsody for four hands, played by Liszt and Thalberg with astounding fire, a sonority truly
grand, and a masterly interpretation. Notwithstanding this extraordinary complex technique, the harmony was admirable, such as no one present had ever known paralleled even by Liszt himself, whom I personally knew and in
whom passion and delicacy were united. In the circle were musicians who, like myself, had heard the greatest pianists in Europe; but we can say that we never heard such truly supernatural execution.
"A globe of light which appeared on the hand of Mme. D. announced the arrival of Chopin. He always manifests his presence in this fashion. He
executed a fantasia which recalled the duct Adalgisa and Norma, with mysterious arpeggios of crystalline and expressive tones which distinguish Chopin. On this occasion his spirit vouchsafed most exquisite melodies with a
pianissimo of diminishing tones and notes full of despair - a prayer to God for Poland. After him came Georges Sand. As I expressed my pleasure to find this genial soul in our midst, she gave three powerful raps on my knee. Mme. D.
having said that she was jealous of this friendly sign, Georges Sand granted her the same favour. Then Mozart came and played with the agility and lightness of a sylph, with
a variety of touch and a melodious style which were the invariable marks of his genius. But the most marvellous incident of the evening was the presentation
of the spirit of Berlioz by his two chaperons, Liszt and Thalberg. That was the first time that Berlioz had played through Shepard. He began by saying that the piano was tuned too low for his music (Shepard is also clairvoyant and
clairaudient) and he tuned it a tone higher himself. For ten minutes we heard the spirits working with the piano, which was closed. At the first sound we observed that the instrument was about two notes higher. Then Berlioz played
sweet, ideal music. It seemed as if we heard the little bells of a country church; as if we saw and heard a marriage procession descending the mountain side,
and entering the edifice; then a music which imitated to perfection the sound of the organ and continued piano, pianissimo, and morendo, as if indicating that
the marriage was celebrated, and the procession returning to the mountains. This piece finished, Berlioz, with the aid of several other spirits, restored the
instrument to its first tuning and began playing on its ordinary tone while the lid was still shut. Several spirits came afterwards, speaking each his own language. Now Shepard is English, and, in addition to French, knows no other
tongue. Once in trance, however, he speaks - or rather the spirits speak through him - in every living language. Thus Goethe has recited passages in German; a spirit calling itself Isaiah has spoken in Hebrew; Mahomet in
Arabic. Spirits have come and translated these speeches, and promised to help us in our psycho-researches, and indicate to us the persons with whom we shall put ourselves in communication. After this séance Mr. Shepard was much
exhausted, and had to retire to rest. Even spiritualists will be left breathless by this account. They now dislike the return of the great ones and accord them a cool reception. Allowing for the
exuberance of enthusiasm, the account still leaves a problem. It cannot be dismissed by calling Prince Adam, Wisniewski mad. He is not in bad company. In fact, in the best of the last century.
Jesse Shepard was a darling of kings. He performed at the Imperial Palace of Gatchina for the Czar of Russia and before a reunion of three royal houses
at Cumberland Palace in Gmunden, Austria. His hostess was the Duchess of Cumberland, sister of the Empress of Russia, of the Princess of Wales and of the Queen of Greece.
Mr. Henry Kiddle, superintendent of the schools of New York, had Shepard in his own house for twelve months. On one occasion he heard him playing,
under the control of "Mozart", a magnificent impromptu symphony and delivering at the same time, under the influence of "Aristotle", a learned
philosophical dissertation. Further, he heard him in trance speak French, German, Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Chaldaic and Arabic. Mr. Kiddle was forced to resign because of his openly stated spiritualistic convictions. Invisibility
As far as tales of people with powers of invisibility goes, the only ones I have found so far are yogi's
or tibetan monks for instance who have these powers. And these would be actual powers that were under their conscious control. I have found one related item though. In a collection of Medieval Welsh Myths and folk-tales: the
Mabinogion (its second branch). Here we find the interesting story of Caswallawn, a son of Beli, who donned the Veil of Illusion to slay some rival chieftains. They would
see nothing of the assassin, only the sword as it materialized a second before cutting them down. Neida Rios, my mate who is psychic (www.instinctivewisdom.net
) says that this is an extraordinary case in that as a rule, etherials don't give the secret of the power of invisibility over to humans. And
for good reason as you can imagine however, they can bestow energies to things, like a cloak which could then provide invisibility for a human, for awhile. In this case, she says it was a troll who did
such a thing. Their energies aren't as high as the other etherial beings. They are prone to acting up when they are annoyed with humans. Super Strength
The only incidences so far that I have found to show indications of super strength are The Tiger Swami mentioned above and Gilgamesh who fought lions. While someone with electromagnetic powers can lift 3 people sitting in a chair merely by touching the chair, that does
not equate to "physical" strength. Yogi's and Swami's can and have performed feats of seeming strength but that too would not be about "physical" strength. If you know of any such true tales of super human strength
please contact me with the information. Thanks, Joseph
