http://www.conknet.com/~mmagnus/  Margaret Magnus's excellent website about the magic of Letters. Each of the consonants has a meaning that is based in how it's pronounced. It's a fundamental and much overlooked fact of language. More than anything, these letter meanings influence how we feel about words, how we react to personal names and brand names, what subliminal effect the sounds in slang and jargon terms have on us. This reference allows you to see what the emotional, mythological and intellectual content of words is.

http://www.canyoncinema.com/contents.html  Canyon Cinema has become synonymous with the California Bay Area independent and experimental film. As they have actively grown over the past 30 years, Canyon has chronicled the history of this unique genre. As with any non-commercial art form, experimental film requires an infrastructure that promotes, distributes and exhibits work. Canyon Cinema is one of the rare organizations that serves this function. This is very important work being done here, for the benefit of all of us. Please support this organization. The body of its archive needs to brought more to the forefront, more to the attention of the greater populace. I am sure they are Being their part in creating that so but I am mostly speaking to the rest of you who could make a difference in that happening. The works in Canyon Cinemas vaults represents a DEEP and RICH body of psychological experience. Valid, real and infinately valuable to people amidst deep change and growth such as we all are on our world right now.  In the future we are all generating this "experimental" work will cease to be so much that and instead be more familiar and frequently used as a means of personal expression and communication amongst the peoples. This is natural, creative humanness.  It will be used and infused everywhere. There are as many valid avenues of film making or visual art and expression as there are manners of dance. This space in a manner represents the "Unknown aspects of sSelf, here symbolically and physically represented that we are to more and more get into dipping our consciousness into, making the unknown known again finally, linearly speaking. http://www.corporateasylum.com/passionformediocrity.html  Corporate Brainwashing - Hugh Willmott: "In effect, corporate culture programmes are designed to deny or frustrate the development of conditions in which critical reflection is fostered." . . . from the standpoint of the individual, the distancing of self from corporate values may be the preferred means of preserving and asserting self-identity." Don't wonder too long why we have corporate executives and administrators who seemingly have no conscience and so we have Enron's, WorldCom's and trust fund scandals etc.

http://www.tikkun.org/community/index.cfm/action/core_vision.html A community of people from many faiths and traditions, called together by TIKKUN magazine and its vision of healing and transforming our world. They include in this call both the outer transformation needed to achieve social justice, ecological sanity, and world peace, and the inner healing needed to foster loving relationships, a generous attitude toward the world and toward others unimpeded by the distortions of our egos, a habit of generosity and trust, and the ability to respond to the grandeur of creation with awe, wonder and radical amazement. They are guided in our work by their belief in the principle of solidarity. They wish to see the democratization of economic and political institutions and a redistribution of wealth so that all people can share equally and sustainably in the benefits of the planet. They will challenge the lack of a spiritual dimension in the agendas of their allies in progressive social change movements. They say that we need a spiritual consciousness along with a political consciousness if we are to heal and transform the world. I agree.

http://www.burningman.com  Burning Man - From their "What is Burning Man" page: Trying to explain what Burning Man is to someone who has never been to the event is a bit like trying to explain what a particular color looks like to someone who is blind. In this section you will find the peripheral definitions of what the event is as a whole, but to truly understand this event, one must participate. This site serves to try to paint a picture of the Burning Man experience to those who are new to the project, as well as to give those participants looking to keep the fire burning in their daily lives an environment in which to connect to their fellow community members. This is an amazing creative human psyche healing event. Bizarre and wondrous. We need more of this kind of thing going on. Look into it.

http://www.lysistrataproject.org/  The Lysistrata Project holds that economic justice benefits all life on Earth, that placing people over profit, woman's full worth over controlled reproductive function, partnership over dominance, brings peace, and that these outcomes call for a heroic alliance. Thus, they are dedicated to bridging the spiritual, social activist and women's communities, and through their combined economic power humanizing the global agenda. In the immediate, they call for a collective NO! to the war on Iraq and to the assault on our civil liberties.
Through their extensive links, they reveal the vastness of their organizations numbers, the diversity of their efforts, and their collective power to birth a common good. They are guided by Gandhian principles of nonviolence and economics in seeking inventive solutions. They feature news, a calendar of events, the societal cost of war, the ties between oil, multinational corporations, war and the desecration of our Earth, ideas for withdrawing our consent to business as usual, action alerts, inspirations, a global photo album and more. BTW Aristophanes Lysistrata, is the greatest anti-war comedy of classical Western culture. It tells the story of a group of women from Athens and Sparta who unite to end the Peloponnesian Wars by agreeing to refuse to make love to their husbands, until their husbands refuse to make war.

http://www.awionline.org/index1.htm   The Animal Welfare Institute has been dedicated to reducing the pain inflicted upon animals by humans.

http://www.sheldrake.org/papers/animals/index.html Rupert Sheldrake's website- On this page he looks into psychic  pets. Atleast someone is on the ball here. A bit about him: From a very early age he was interested in plants and animals. He came to realize that the mechanistic theory of life was what Kuhn called a paradigm, a collectively held model of reality, a belief system. He showed that periods of revolutionary change involved the replacement of old scientific paradigms by new ones. And if science had changed radically in the past, then perhaps it could change again in the future I was very excited by that. He bergan to explore the holistic tradition in biology. Holistic science integrated direct experience and understanding. It didn't involve breaking everything down into pieces and denying the evidence of one's senses. One of his main concerns is the opening up of science. Another is exploring the connections between science and spirituality.
