"...in creating a new radio institution which not only fills the airwaves with truly uplifting, inspiring, informative, and galvanizing information, analysis, and vision, but which also provides a model for internal organization and decision making that workers and consumers of other alternative media and of other movement organizing projects of all kinds can point to and say, see, it can be done—real democracy, real self-management is coming to Pacifica, and let's bring it on, for us too."

http://www.fair.org/activism/fcc-call-action.html
Action Alert: The FCC is headed towards Rolling Back Limits on Media Consolidation. That is something we don't have to let happen. We don't have to follow this present direction to its 100% breakdown point. We can recognize the lesson from where we are and move into the probable, now actualized reality that reflects our refreshed view/knowing of ourselves. Its present direction is solely due to our refusal to take the controls of our own train of consciousness. Our avoiding ownership of our creating our world. This is why I say from time to time. Wake up! There are stands that we have not owned consciously but are now pressing ourselves (as egos) to address.
Please take a few moments to remind the FCC that ownership rules are necessary to promote diversity and competition in our media, and ultimately, to support our economy and country. This next url is where you can do that. http://www.democraticmedia.org/getinvolved/ownershipAction_FCCFiling.html Our country depends upon a diverse and robust media that ensures the free flow of information from a wide array sources and viewpoints. But recent years have been characterized by rapid consolidation in the media industry, a trend that has left us with FEWER corporations controlling a larger percentage of the information upon which we base important political and personal decisons. The current FCC proceeding seems skewed towards the further scaling back regulations that are intended to promote media diversity and protect civic, minority and noncommercial voices. The FCC needs to hear from you on this important issue.
